About Us

More than first responders — we're your neighbors

The Jefferson City Volunteer Fire Department isn't a government agency you pass on the highway. We're the people who wave at you from their front yards, whose kids play with yours at school, and who show up when you need us most.

Based at 13 Spring Street, our station has been a quiet pillar of the Jefferson City community for decades. Every one of our firefighters brings a full day job, a family, and a life outside the station — but when the alarm sounds, they answer. That's the volunteer difference: it's not a job, it's a promise.
